ABOUT

Faith Gospel Church, Baltimore

Faith Gospel Church-Baltimore was conceived in the spirit many years prior to its visible establishment. Through a vision in 2008, God revealed to Bishop Gathuma about the expansion of Faith Gospel to many countries including the US. In the fullness of time, God has brought together a group of believers with a common vision of meeting the spiritual needs within the community. Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, the group sought to start a church that ensures inclusivity, pursue a closer walk with God through adherence and obedience to sound Biblical teaching, seeking God’s presence through prayer and demonstration of unhypocritical love.

This has been taking place when God’s pastoral call upon the life of Pastor Francis Lando had matured. The desire of Pastor Francis, an ordained minister of the Gospel with sound theological training, has always been to provide an opportunity for believers to seek, know and worship God. Faith Gospel Church-Baltimore will strive to guide members in worshipping God in truth and in spirit all for the glory of God. We will embark on the divine plan of God by fulfilling the great commission by Jesus Christ.

Our Mission

We are a living Body of Christ, honoring God through faithful preaching of and obedience to the Gospel. We serve God’s people through holistic approaches to fellowship, discipleship, outreach and compassionate care to all.

Our Vision

We exist to make Christ Known and Confessed by Man as Lord and Savior to the Glory of God the Father, Phil 2:11

Our Values

As a multicultural Body of Christ, we:

Love– We love God, and we love people. People matter to God. We love people unconditionally in response to the Great Commandment, because God’s love is unconditional, Rom 5:8, Matt 22:37-40.

Disciple– We are intentional about equipping members for growth and maturity in their relationship with Jesus, John 8:31.

Serve– As stewards, we faithfully live in obedient submission to God’s will to honor God and serve His people selflessly, Gal 5:13.

Care: We are concerned, and we respond to the needs, suffering and misfortunes of humanity through acts of mercy and compassion, Zach 7:9-10.

Evangelize– We are intentional about sharing the Gospel of Christ to non-believers in accordance with the Great Commission, Matt 28:19-20.

What We Believe

Bible: The Bible is God’s word. Christians believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God, which is sufficient for all we need to live the Christian life, 2 Tim 3:16-17

God: God is three in one. Christians believe that there is one God who eternally exists as three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). All three persons are equal and eternal, Matt 28:19.

Christ: Jesus is both fully God and fully human as the second person of the Trinity. He has always existed as God, and the world was created through him, John 1:1-2.

Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit indwells believers (1 Cor 6:9) and convicts them of sin (John 16:8-11). By the Spirit we are renewed (Titus 3:5) and sealed unto the day of redemption (Eph 1:13, 14; 4:30).

Man: Man is made in the image of God (Gen 1:26; 9:6; 1 Cor 11:7; Col 3:10; James 3:9). Though created by God (Gen 1, 2) man did not always obey God (Gen 3).

Salvation: We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ. Eph 2:8-9

Church: This is the body of Christ made up of Christians (1 Cor 15:9; Gal 1:2, 13). Also, as a local church assembly where believers meet on a regular basis (Phil 4:15; Col 4:16)

End Times There’s life after death. Christ will return to rapture the church and resurrect the dead believers (1 Cor 15; Titus 2:13; 2 Peter 3:12). There will be judgment for the unsaved (Psa 96:13; Acts 17:31; Heb 9:27).
